DEATH ON OPERATIONS
TOLAGA BAY PILOT
SERVICE WITH R.A.F.
(Per Preßß Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The following official air force casualty was announced yesterday: — Pilot-Officer Howard Fleming Irving, Royal New Zealand Air Force, reported to have lost his life as a result of air operations. His next-of-kin is his father, Mr. H. R. Irving, Tolaga Bay.
Pilot-Officer H. F. Irving was born in Tolaga Bay and was educated there and at Massey College. He enlisted in the Royal New Zealand Air Force last year, and left for overseas just before Christmas. He was 25 years of age and single.
