FIRE IN HOSPITAL
DAMAGE AT RAETIHI PATIENTS TRANSFERRED WANGANUI, this day. A fire in the Raetihi Public Hospital on Saturday night made necessary the temporary transfer of patients to the nurses’ home, the nurses going to the home of the medical superintendent. The fire, which started in a corridor in the middle of the main building, burnt through the ceiling of the ground floor into the maids’ quarters and through the roof.
