200 HOUSES HELD UP
POWER INSTALLATIONS MINISTER’S PROBLEM (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, arrived from Wellington to-day. He will transact public business until Thursday when he will leave for the north to consult local bodies in reference to the money required for public works. To-morrow he will consult the electrical supply authorities to see what can be done to equip the State houses under construction with electricity. Two hundred houses that are completed cannot be occupied by tenants until the electrical installations arc made.
Asked what will be the position if the fittings are not available, Mr. Armstrong replied: I do not know what the next move will be. I cannot say anything until I have interviewed the power boards.
