N.Z. MESSAGE TO KING
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 2. The Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, has sent the following message t.o the King: “On the occasion of the celebration in New Zealand of Your Majesty’s birthday, I have the honour to tender Your Majesty with my humble duty sincere congratulations and good wishes from the Government and the people of this Dominion for continued health, safety and wellbeing and assure Your Majesty of their abiding and steadfast loyalty to the Throne. The personal example of Your Majesty and the Queen and unfailing interest in and sympathy with the welfare of your subjects throughout the Empire are a constant source of strength and inspiration to us all in these days of trial.”
