ARDUOUS JOURNEY
NORWEGIAN FORCES ESCAPE TO BRITAIN (Reed. June 2, 2.50 p.m.) CAPETOWN, June 1. Fifty Norwegian airmen, soldiers and sailors have arrived at Cap town after three months’ arduous journey across Russia, the Balkans and the Middle East. They are going to Britain to continue the fight against Germany. They said that their long journey was necessary because after many Norwegians had crossed to Scotland in various types of boats following the raid on the Lofoten Islands, the. Germans placed a very strict watch on the coast.
