RISE IN FREIGHTS
AMERICAN LINES (Reed. March 1, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 28. Representatives of 16 major shipping lines announced yesterday a general advance in ocean freight rates from the United States Atlantic ports to China and the Philippines. The advance will be effective as from April 1.
