PURCHASE BY STATE
SURPLUS N.S.W. FRUIT DISTRIBUTION PLANS SICK AND ORPHANS (Reed. Feb. 28, 1.40 n.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 28. The Premier of New South Wales Mr. A. Mair, has announced that the New South Wales Government will buy from orchardists. apples and pears that otherwise would be wasted and distribute them to hospitals, orphanages, nurseries and similar institutions.
Mr. Mair said the apple and pear board would make fruit available at a orice "in keening with circumstances.”
