Members Farewelled

The members of the dramatic circle of the Ormond Women’s Institute met nt She heme of the convener, Mm. C. J Long, “Ti Toki," Hexton, on Wednesday, to farewell Mrs Percy Stephenson and her daughter, Miss M. Stephenson, who are making their future home in Auckland. Early jonquils and gold and scarlet gleam nasturtiums were artistically arranged in the drawing-room. Presentations to Mrs. Stephenson and her daughter were made, on behalf of the members, by Mrs. Long, who in a brief speech regretted their departure from the district and wished them every happiness in their new sphere. Mrs. J. B. Greig, convener bf the gardening circle, also asked Mrs. Stephenson to accept a gift with the good wishes of the members. In acknowledging the gifts, Mrs. Stephenson expressed regret at having to sever her happy association with the circle. Afternoon tea was served informally by the hostess and members, and later, members who had visited the Centennial Exhibition related their experiences.
