(Herald Correspondent.) In a keenly-contested basketball match played this week, the Kopuawhara ladies- were defeated by Nuhaka, 0 to 8. From start to finish, it was anybody's game, and ail the players gave creditable performances. Miss Nolan was a capable referee. At the conclusion ol the game the committee entertained the Nuhaka team to afternoon tea. and Mr. Munro, on behalf of the Kopttawhara club, thanked the visitors for the opportunity lo play them.
