A special entry of eight springing Jersey heifers was offered at yesterday's iMatawhero stock sale on account of 'Mr. C. E. Gibson. Ormond. These heifers -were -by stud bulls and had been mated to stud bulls. They were a little lacking in condition, but showing up well. Three sold at £5 12s Gd and £6 2s (Id. ‘but .the balance failed to make a bid under the hammer and were dealt with privately.
Jersey heifers, in good order, ollered on account of 'Mr. E. Harden, brought £5 10s, £(> 17s Gd and £8 ss. Crossbred heifers showing some Shorthorn and Hereford blood, and in excellent condition, offered on account ol' the same vendor, brought no demand, and were passed in at one bid, £3. Some young springing Jersey cows from Tolaga 'Bay were in very attractive condition and the best values were £7 10s and £8 10s.
