YOUNG MAN KILLED WHEN TRAPPED BY FALL OF STAGING
HAMILTON, This Day (P.A.).— When he was caught under a section of a steel stage which he was assisting to dismantle in Bledisloe Hall this morning, a young man received fatal head injuries. He was Murray Bennet Young, aged 25 years, single, employed by his father, Mr W. B. Young, a building contractor, of Hamilton. The deceased was one of a party taking down the stage, which was situated in the centre of Bledisloe Hall and was used for displays and demonstrations during the recent Waikato Winter Show. The stage was being removed so that the hall could be used again for indoor basketball and tennis at nights. One of the staunchions supporting the steel floor had been unhooked and it slipped, one of the sections of the floor falling on Young who received grave head injuries which caused instant death. ,
