CHURCH LEADER’S VISIT TO DOMINION
AUCKLAND, This Day (P.A.).— The first minister and secretary of the International Congregational Church, the Rev.-S. M. Berry, arrived in the Monowai today in 'the course of a world tour. He spent the. last six months in India and Australia. “In South India I found a united church, perhaps the only one of its kind in the he said. “It is a union of the Church of England, the Presbyterians and Corgregationalists. For two years it has functioned well under the title of the Church of South India. The success of this union has brought a thrill to the whole Christian faith in South India.” Mr Berry will spend four weeks in New Zealand. He will be given a reception by the Prime Minister, Mr Holland, in Wellington. He will leave for South Africa on July 12. /
