CONGRATULATIONS TO ‘GALLANT BAND OF ALL BLACKS’
PRETORIA, September 23 (Rec. 10.15 a.m.). —The South African Prime Minister, Dr Malan, . today sent a telegram of appreciation to the All Black captain, F. R. Allen, aboard the Dominion Monarch, which is taking the • team home to New Zealand. The telegram said: “To you personally and to the gallant band of All Blacks, I should like to say how greatly South Africa appreciates your tour. It must be counted an unqualified success. You succeeded in stimulating to an unprecedented pitch the interest of all sections.' of the South African people in Rugby football.”
