Pronounced Absenteeism Among Czech Workers
PRAGUE, Sept.'•22.— The Czech Prime Minister • (Mr Antonin. Zapotocky) told the Czech Trade Union Council yesterday, that absenteeism among workers this year was already more than 37 per. cent, higher than it- was in 1947, The' highest figures, he'said, were among miners and metal-workers. ' ■ “.Reprisals' must be’taken against these, incorrigible sinners,” Mr Zapotocky said. \ “Deliberate absenteeism is punishable negligence.” ' ‘
