Taranaki Beats North Otago
Taranaki Rugby representatives defeated North Otago by 22 to 3 at the Show Grounds, Oamaru, yesterday afternoon under perfect conditions. Their points came from five tries,- two conversions and a goal from a penalty. North Otago kicked a goal from a penalty. The. scrums were fairly even.' Taranaki’ dominated the line-outs and ■ the loose play, setting up passing rushes ! from all positions to outclass the opposition. Tries were scored by Putt (2), Ancell (2), and Walsh, with conversions bv Priest, and a goal by . Cock-1 erill.. G. Johnson kicked the goal for North Otago.—(P.A.) ’
