SOCIAL DEMOCRAT SHOUTED DOWN IN GERMAN PARLIAMENT
BERLIN, September 21 (Rec. 10 a mi ) _Dr Kurt Schumacher, Social Democratic Leader of the Opposition in the West German parliament, was shouted down when he made a friendly reference to Britain in Parliament at Boon today. Loud booing broke out when Dr Schumacher criticised the Chancellor, Dr Konrad Adenauer, for not mentioning in his policy speech yesterday what the British taxpayer had done for the German people. Dr Schumacher turned to the de-, monstrating members, saying: “The Nazis were found among you and not among the British, if I remember rightly.”. The Speaker 1 called him to order.
