Empire Games Tickets
AUCKLAND, This Day. (P.A.).— Applications for season tickets for the Empire Games in February have been received to the value of £7OOO. Mr C. L. Cleal, organising secretary, said today that by the end of this week the total is expected to be £ 10,000. Preferential bookings opened last. Saturday - i ■' Mr Cleal added that South Island bookings were coming in steadily. If the demand for tickets exceeded the supply, a ballot would .be held. Whether Australian applicants will have to participate in the ballot would be decided by the organising committee at its next meeting. . The New Zealand Empire Games Association would arrange bookings for overseas visitors with onicial standing.
