Rapahoe W.I.
The August meeting of the Rapahoe Women’s Institute was held recently. Mrs Spruce presiding over a good, attendance; An invitation was received from the Greymouth W.I. to attend their birthday party. Remits for the half-yearly council meeting were discussed. The motto was read by Mrs Wafer. The roll call “My favourite holiday resort” was well responded to. A demonstration on tatting was given by Miss P. Langney. Competition results were: Novelty pin cushion, Mrs Thompson 1. Mesdames Noble and Spruce equal 2; jam tart, Mesdames Thompson and Noble equal 1. The hostesses were Mesdames 'Thompson and Langney.
