VISIT OF N.Z. GIRL GUIDE LEADERS
Arrangements have yet to be completed for the visit next month of Chief Commissioner Miss Ruth Herrick, the Dominion Commissioner for Brownies, Miss Orford, and the general secretary, Miss Marie Iles, it was reported to the annual meeting of the Local Association of Girl Guides which was held last week. At the meeting comprehensive reports were presented from the following companies:—Ist Greymouth Guides, Captain M. Heslop; Ist Greymouth Brownies, Brown Owl Mrs Mills; 2nd Greymouth Brownies, Brown Owl Mrs Hutchinson;. St John’s .JBrownies, Brown Owl Mrs T. Vincent; St Mary’s Brown Owl Miss M. McGrath; St Mary’s Guides, Captain Miss A. Heaphy; Greymouth Rangers, Miss M. Hansen; Camerons Coy, Miss M. Weaver; Camping Committee, Mrs W. Stackhouse. The retiring president, Mrsl Kitchingham, complimented the girls on their very fine work and wished them success in the coming year’s activities. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mrs A. J. Bradley; secretary, Mrs I. E. Manning (re-elected); committee, Mesdames Parfitt, Stackhouse, Greenslade, Armstrong and Cooper (re-elected), and the following new members, Mesdames B. I. Cummings, J. Daniels, Geo. Howes, A.- Hughes, A. L. McKay, D. J. McKenzie, R. Smith and J. Walker.
