The funeral took place at the Karoro cemetery this morning of Miss Mary Mulcare, of Ngahere, and was attended by a large number of residents of the Grey Valley. Requiem Mas's was celebrated at the Sacred Heart Church, Ngahere, by the Rev. Father J. Quinn. Also in the sanctuary were the Rt Rev. Monsignor J. Long and the Rev. Father T, Farrell and S. O’Brien. The service at the graveside was conducted by Father Quinn, who was assisted by Monsignor Long and the Rev. Fathers Farrell, O’Brien, J. Lorden (Hokitika) and R. O’Gorman (South Westland). The Children of Mary, formed a guard of honour at the graveside and at the completion of the service sang ’‘Eternal Best."
