NO BALLOT NEEDED FOR GREYMOUTH R.S.A. EXECUTIVE
Because only sufficient names were received when nominations for the executive of the Greymouth branch of the Returned Servicemen’s Association closed on Saturday night, it will not be necessary to hold a ballot. Those nominated have been automatically elected to office for the ensuing year. The executive consists of 10 men apart from the president, two vice-presidents and a secretary. Two of last year’s executive were not returned to office this year. Mr E. F. Chivers was not nominated, while Mr J. E. Stokes withdrew his nomination.
The following are the office-bear-ers:—President, Mr O. McLean; vice-presidents, the Rev. T. G. Campbell and Mr G. Batty; secretary, Mr T. P. Ryan; executive, Messrs W. Green, A. Agnew, E. A. Brown, E. Fraser, T. Garth, J. C. Johnson, J. Knight, T. O’Connor, L. Phillips and H. O. Jefcoate.
