LATE NEWS Charged With Attempt To Murder Brother
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This,Day. £)n a charge of attempting to murder William Charles Reece at Onehunga on Saturday evening, Robert Courtney Reece, aged 19, a labourer, appeared before Mr J. Morling, S.M., in the Police Court today.
On the application .of the police the accused was remanded until Tuesday next. The accused said he wished to have a solicitor to represent him.
The magistrate told Reece he would be afforded every opportunity to secure the services of counsel.
The charge arose out of a shooting incident in .the passage of the accused’s home, after which a brother of the accused, aged 25, was admitted to hospital with a wound from a .22 calibre rifle. His condition after an operation is satisfactory.

The body of a man missing since Saturday last, Harry Leonard Shepperson, aged 35, was found this morning at the foot of an 80-foot cliff in a quarry in Faraday street, Napier. Shepperson was a customs agent at. Port Ahuriri and his home overlooks the quarry.
