CRICKET FIJIANS RECOVER WELL IN MATCH AT AUCKLAND

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 5. Making a splendid recovery in its second innings today, the Fijian cricket team scored 205 for the loss of two wickets in the match against Auckland. They scored their runs in 210 minutes. In its first innings on Saturday. Fiji made 129, and Auckland replied with 140 for six wickets. When the match was resumed today the Auckland batting was very laboured and after 41 runs had been added to the overnight total in 100 minutes for the loss of two more wickets, H. T. Pearson, the Auckland captain,’ declared at the luncheon adjournment. A feature of Fiji’s second innings was a fine second-wicket partnership between H. J.
