BOXING Murphy Loses By Narrow Points Margin
(Rec. 12.20 p.m.) v LONDON, April 5. The southern area middleweight boxing champion, Mark Hart, fought the fight of his life to gain a narrow points victory over the New Zealander, Bos Murphy, in an eightround bout at the Albert Hall. Hart won by sheer aggression. He smothered Murphy and the speed of his punching, particularly with his left hook, often troubled Murphy, who was clearly the better boxer. Murphy gave as good as he received, but Hart’s powerful punching took the sting from his blows.
