UNITED NATIONS AND FREEDOM OF THE PRESS

The United Nations’ Freedom of Information Conference at Geneva unanimously adopted a resolution that all journalists should help to maintain peace and security and promote respect for human rights, says Reuter’s correspondent/ The committee adopted ah American proposal that the projected international convention on the free flow of news should stipulate equal facilities for all correspondents. This will not affect the British Empire press rate for transmission within the Empire. .
