NO EXTRA PETROL FOR TAXIS TO COPE WITH HOLIDAY RUSH
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day.The Taxi Proprietors’ Federation today announced that their representations to the Oil Fuel Controller for more petrol to cover meeting Easter special trains and steamers has been refused. As Easter comes near the end of the rationing period, taxi-drivers in Wellington state there may be insufficient petrol to cover the holiday rush. Hospital transport and other essential jobs will be provided for.
