GOLF MURRAY BEATS GUY IN FINAL OF PROFESSIONAL TITLE
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 13. The results of the quarter-finals of the New Zealand amateur golf championships at New Plymouth today leave W. G. Horne (Wellington) tQ meet W. A. Edgar (Commonwealth, Victoria), and B. M. Silk (Wanganui) to meet N. 11. Amon (Manawatu), in the 36-hole semifinals tomorrow. '
Although outdriven Alex Murray (Titirangi) was always master of the situation in the final of the professional championship. Murray won by 7 up and 6 to play. The game was followed by a large gallery until the concluding stages, when it became obvious that it was only a matter of time. Results:— Amateur Championship: Third Round:—W. G.
