FAMILY RECORD OF CANADIAN COUPLE
(Rec. 3 p.m.) TORONTO, October 14.
With all their 16 children, 86 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, Mr and Mrs George Weiler celebrated their diamond wedding at Mildmay, Ontario.. In a speech after the family banquet, the Catholic parish priest, the Rev. Father Edgar Hartlieb, said: “We throw the lie in the faces of those self-satisfied moderns who claim that too many children are a detriment to health and happiness.” Messages were received from Their Majesties, from the Pope, from Ontario’s Government and from the Prime Minister, Mr Mackenzie King.
