COMMISSION TO VISIT THE ITALIAN COLONIES
(Rec. 2.45 p.m.) LONDON, October 14. . All of the four Foreign Minister’s deputies have agreed that the repoits of the commission which they are sending to the Italian colonies should not contain any recommendations on the final disposal of territories. It was unanimously agreed that the commission’s task should be to collect and furnish the deputies with the necessary data to enable them to c °n~ sider the question with a view to submitting recommendations to the Foreign Ministers. The deputies agreed that the commission should obtain the local population’s views regarding their disposal and data about political, economic and social conditions and the welfare, peace and security of the inhabitants. All sections of the population are to be given full opportunity to make their views known. The deputies decided that the commission’s work, including the submission of its reports, should not take longer than seven months from its departure from London.
