PORT CONGESTION AT AUCKLAND
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The arrival of the liners Rangitata and Port Hobart has increased the congestion in the port of Auckland. Twenty overseas ships and eight large intercolonial and coastal vessels are alongside the wharves or at anchor waiting for berths. The total tonnage of the vessels in port is now 166,790 gross. Priority was given yesterday to the Rangitata to load food.
