NEW ZEALAND MAY OBTAIN CARS FROM AUSTRALIA

(P.). AUCKLAND, This Day. The possibility of New Zealand obtaining cars from Australia, particularly if the dollar situation continues, was mentioned today by the Australian Trade Commissioner, Mr J. J. Murray. Australia had not yet any definite policy on exporting cars, but had made so many products successfully during the war that it would make a success of car manufacture, he stated. However, he did not think cars would be available from Australia for some time owing to the great demand in that country itself. He forecast an improvement in the near future in trans -Ta sman shipping.-
