BRITAIN RELAXES FACTORIES ACT
(Rec. 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, September 1. The Ministry of Labour has .issued a new order relaxing the terms of the Factories Act so that firms wishing to stagger their working hours and spread the electricity load can employ 16-ye,aipolds at.hours outside the limits the Act.imposes. The permissible, starting time Is now 6 a.m, instead of 7 a.m., and workers can ( be employed until 11 pan., instead of 8 p.rn.
