BRITAIN’S PLANS FOR SIXTEEN COLONIES
(Rec. 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 1. The Colonial Under-Secretary, Mr Ivor Thomas, said in a speech today that Britain would spend £174,996,000 on the development of 16 colonies in the next 10 years. Britain has spent thousands of millions developing foreign countries while her own territories have been allowed to remain relatively waste, he added. .
