TWO DAKOTAS FOR SYDNEY HERALD (Rec. 11.45 a.m.) DARWIN, This Day.' The two Douglas D.C.3 Dakota aircraft, which the Sydney Morning Herald has bought from the -British Government have arrived in Australia. The aircraft will be used by the Herald for fast 'delivery of the paper to country districts. The Herald is the first Australian paper to own and operate its own fleet of aircraft. Mr. G. H. Purvis, the wellknown Australian aviator, is in charge of the flight and Mr. A. R. Lewis, a former British airline pilot, is -captain of the other plane. The journey from England took 10 days, including five spent in Singapore due to crew illness.
