Delegates Disappointed With Conference
“To be honest, I wasn’t very enthusiastic about the proceedings. They were not what I expected from a conference of hospital boards,” said Mr. J. E. Stokes, reporting to last evening’s meeting of the Grey Hospital Board, on the recent conference held at Dunedin. “Anything the executive wanted to deal with itself was just bulldozed through, and anything else was left for us to take. It was my first experience of such a conference and I thought I was going to see something on a high level. I was very disappointed. This comment was endorsed by the secretary-manager, Mr. J. E. A. IVlcKeefry, who also attended the conference.
