HOCKEY Greymouth Club Wins Cup Final

In a hard and, at times, over-wil-ling match, Greymouth defeated Marist at the Recreation Ground on Saturday to win the 1946 West Coast hockey championship. The game was played at a fast pace throughout in' spite of the heavy nature of the ground, The final score was Greymouth 2, Marist 1. M. Atkinson and Kendon scored for Greymouth and J. Curnow for Marist. Cobden defeated Wheelmen by two goals to one. J. Carter and L. Douglas scored for the winners and G. Williams netted for Wheelmen. Pacific beat Cobden Rangers by default.
