GOLF Caulton Wins Club Senion Title
The final rounds of the Greymouth Golf Club’s 1946 championships were played on the Kaiata links during the week-end. AH the matches were played over 36 holes. In the senior final B. W. Caulton defeated L. Rhodes 8 and 7. Caulton, who has a handicap of three, returned a card of 76—one over par—for the morning round and was not troubled subsequently. L. C. Lindley won the intermediate championship from F. F. Boustridge, 8 and 7, and T. Cameron defeated W. Ryan 1 up to take the junior title. The result of the junior match was in doubt until the final hole. t Best scores in the September Ladies’ Golf Union medal match played among members of the Greymouth Women’s Club were:—Mrs. W. Steele, 89, 20 — 69; Mrs. J. Alexander, 106, 35—71; Mrs. J. Robertson, 96, 21—75; Mrs. G. Lambert, 109, 34—75; Miss L. King, 96, 18—78. In the second round of the C division match for the Caulton trophy, the two best, scores were returned by Mrs. J. Bluett, and Mrs. F. Boustridge each with 82 net.'
