LAWN TENNIS Cobden Chub Fixes Opening Day
The Cobden Tennis Club at its annual meeting held last, evening, fixed Saturday, October 12, as the day on which to open the 1946-47 season. The meeting, which was well attended, elected the following officers: President, Mr. F. W. Baillie; vicepresidents, Messrs W. Kells and H. Jones; secretary-treasurer, Mr. G. Todd:, club-captain, Mr. E. Fleming; vice-captain, Mr. A. A’Court; auditor, Mrs. Price; delegate to West Coast Association. Mr. G. Todd; committee, Mesdames McKenzie, Todd, Burn and Carpenter, Mr. Mosley and other officials.
