TASMAN FLYING BOAT
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 7. About 300 miles out from Auckland on its flight to Sydney, the Tasman Empire Airways flying-boat, Aotearoa, had to return to base this morning because a leak occurred in an oil tank. The aircraft had left Auckland at 7.2 a.m. with nine pas-
sengers. The return flight was without incident, the aircraft landing at 11.13 a.m.—(P.A.)
