CRICKET India’s Narrow Win Over Glamorgan
(Rec. 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, August 6. India defeated Glamorgan by five wickets. The Indian batsmen had to score 273 runs in four hours to win .and they did it with the loss of five wickets. Glamorgan in its second innings declared with eight wickets down for 237 runs (Robinson 79; Nayudu three for 64, Mankad three for 79). India in the second innings made 274 runs for five wickets (Mustaqali 93, Hazare not out 59; Matthews three for 60). The first innings score was 203 runs.
