Austral-New Zealand.—The Aus-tral-New Zealand Mining Company reports from' Cromwell that for the 28 clays ended August 3, the dredge operated 489 hours, treating 314.000 cubic yards, producing 762 ounces of bullion.—(P.A.) Clutha Dredge.—The Clutha River dredge last week worked 111 hours for a recovery of 148 ' ounces.— (P.A.) Electro Zinc.—The production statement of the Electrolytic Zinc Company of Australasia, Ltd., for the four weeks to June 26, with that for the period to May 29 in parentheses, is: Risclon works: zinc 664? tons (6613). West Coast mines: Ore treated, 9989 tons (9965), lead concentrates produced 670 tons (601), zinc concentrates produced 2959 tons (2706), copper concentrates produced 250 tons (284). Blackwater Mines. —The annual meeting will be held in London on. August 20. The profit for the year to December 31, 1945 was £2368, after charging gold duties amounting to £13,736. Tn the circumstances the directors are unable to recommend a dividend.
