(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 4. Two men and a boy who left Ohiro Bay at 11 o’clock this morning to go fishing had not returned to-night. A search will begin to-morrow m°?Bing. The missing persons, all of whom live at 152 Ohiro Bay parade, are:—
Albert Eric Goodwin, aged 49.
Stephen Goodwin, aged 12, his son. George Gilmore Haines Smith, aged 35, a brother-in-law of Will. • x-11 They were not reported missing till 5 o’clock this afternoon, so no proper search could be organised before darkness. The three were last seen by Mrs. Goodwin heading out to sea. Their craft was a 14ft clinker-built battle grey dinghy. As their intention was to spend the afternoon fishing, no concern at their failure to return was caused till 5 o’clock. The shore was searched on foot. A motor-car went right round the bay, but no sign of the dinghy was seen. The weather was fair, but a fresh north-westerly blew up in the afternoon. The sea was fairly choppy.
