BOXING O’Keeffe Beats Robertson on Points
CHRISTCHURCH, August 3. One of the most evenly-contested professional bouts staged in Christchurch for some years was fought by Danny O’Keeffe (Wellington), list 61b, and Henry Robertson (Oamaru) list 41b, at the Civic Theatre to-night before a disappointingly small audience. Both men set a merry pace from the first round, and at no stage did the bout lack interest. The decision in favour of O’Keeffe was greeted with disapproval by a section of the crowd.
