RECIPROCAL RIGHTS
AUSTRALIA AND AMERICA IN AGREEMENT (Rec. 11.55 a.m.) CANBERRA, Aug. 5. An airways agreement between Australia and'the United States, giving each country equal landing rights in territories belonging to the other, will be concluded within five weeks, according to official information. This will mean that the Australian planes, which have been standing by for some weeks now -waiting to run an interim service to San Francisco, will be able to commence the service.
The question of reciprocal landing rights has been under discussion by the Australian and United States Governments for over six months.
