NINE YEARS’ SERVICE

Dr. D. M. Logan, who has been Medical Superintendent of the Grey Hospital, for about the past nine years, has tendered his resignation to the board, to take effect in three months.

The resignation was received at a special meeting of the board last evening, and members finally decided to accept the resignation with extreme regret. It was decided to record in the minutes the board’s appreciation of Dr. Logan’s services.

It was resolved that applications be called immediately to fill the vacancy at a salary of £llOO to £l2OO a year.

Dr. Logan was acting-Regional Deputy in the Greymouth Army office’s area during the war and as such was responsible for the arrangements for the medical examination of thousands of recruits for the services.
