BRITAIN’S NEW AIRCRAFT CARRIERS LONDON, May 28. . The Admiralty has stopped work on the aircraft-carriers Hercules and Leviathan in the Tyne yards, says The Times. It is understood the craft will be towed to a naval dockyard. In addition to stopping work on the aircraft-carriers Hercules and Leviathan, the Daily Express naval correspondent says the Admiralty has cancelled or suspended orders fop three projected 40,000-ton aircraftcarriers. He adds that an improved type of light fleet aircraft-carriers are still being built. All are believed to be capable of flying-off atom or robot aircraft.
