MEETING OF NGAHERE BRANCH
Members of the Ngahere branch of the New Zealand Federated Farmers decided at their monthly meeting at Ngahere on Saturday to propose,to the provincial conference a remit to the effect that the district organiser service the West Coast once a year. The president, Mr. P. Cook, in a discussion on soil erosion, said it seemed farmers should consider well the proposed rate for the Catchment Board, while the Grey Valley remained under the Mining Act. Other members also expressed dissatisfaction with the position, but further discussion was held over until the next meeting, which will be held in May. Mr. Cook reported on the recent meeting of the provincial executive.
