COBDEN SPRING SHOW

The Cobden Horticultural Society’s Spring show was held on Saturday. Competition in all sections, particularly daffodils, was keen and the standard set was high. The judges were: Daffodils, Mr. A. B. Spiers. Cm flowers, Mr. W. Buchanan. Decorative, Mrs. Trott. Domestic, Mr. P. Blanchfield. Special awards: The Society s Blue Ribbon for premier daffodil was won by Mr. W. Buchanan; the West Coast Horticultural Council’s blue ribbon (cut flower section) by Miss Cheverton and six named dahlias, donated by Mrs. Trott, by Miss Craig (decorative section).
