Objective percentages .obtained up w Satui’day are as follows: Southland bo, Auckland’ 57, Otago 47, Taranaki 4.6 Marlborough 45, Gisborne-East Coast 43, North Otago 42, Wanganui 41, Manawatu 37, Hawke’s Bay 3/, Northland 37, Wellington 36, Nelson 36, Buller 33, Waikato-King Country 31, Canterbury 31, South Canterbury 30, Wajrarapa 30, Westland 29, ThamesBay of Plenty 29. : WESTLAND DISTRIBUTION. I The Westland total in the radio appeal, £25,071, was made up from the various districts as follows: —Reeffon £110; Ikamatua £150; Waiuta £55; Greymouth' £20,870; Runanga £4l; Brunnerton £210; Blackball £25; Moana £l4; Aha.ura £35; Kumara £1687; Hokitika £368; Ross £1075; Wataroa £3l; Jackson Bay £4OO. A challenge by the Ross Committee that ihey would subscribe more money during, the appeal than Kumara, was accepted and repelled, Kumara winning by £612. . Westland invested £0023 in the loan on Saturday up to noon, bringing the grand total to £132,825, or 29 per cent of the objective. The centre totals at noon on Saturday with the percentages of the objectives in parentheses, were as follow: —Kumara £3415 (49 per cent.); Blackball £6390 (39); Hokitika £33,290 (36); Otira £716 (35); Hari Hari £2314 (33); Greymouth £57,369 (3D; Runanga £8365 (30); Reefton £7491 (25); Jackson Bay £lBBB (24); Brunnerton £2694 (22); Ikamatua £15.82 (20); Waiuta £1241; Ross £1818; Franz Josef Glacier £749; Fox Glacier £llB (all 15 per cent.); Barrytown £525; Wataroa £475 (both 10 per cent.): Moana £BB7 (9); Ahaura £498 (5). The amounts promised during the radio appeal will not be credited to . the total until the promises are fulfilled.
