SUPERPHOSPHATE PRICES.
WELLINGTON, August 14. A price order issued by the Price Tribunal and gazetted to-night fixes the price of 44-46 superphosphate; sacks included, for delivery South Island main centres as follows:—To user exclusively for wheatgrowing, £4/2/- a ton; for any other purpose, £4/4/-; to storekeeper, £4/1/-; to merchant, to dairy company, or to farmers’ organisation, £3/18/6. GOLDEN SANDS. Golden Sands return was 40 ounces 11 dwts for 44 shifts. MAORI GOLD. Maori Gold dredge is undergoing general repairs but it is hoped that dredging will be recommenced about August 24. For 44 hours dredging and a clean up of the tail chute, a return of 29 ozs. 3 dwts. was obtained. snoxWriver The Snowy River dredge return this week was 140 ounces from 30,000 yards in 128 hours. SLAB~HUT The returns from this dredge for the week ending August 13 was 53 ozs. from 14,650 yards in 117 hours.
